General Assembly Tech, Design and Entrepreneurship Campus Opens in NYC

[ 0 ] January 25, 2011 |

There’s a new kid in town, and they’ll go far!  General Assembly has opened their campus for technology, design, and entrepreneurship, located at 902 Broadway (at 20th) in Manhattan.

The campus will be an intense yet invigorating space for entrepreneurs who thrive on the steep learning curve that startup-land can often have.  Offering a framework to support new ventures with community, collaboration and curriculum, the GA campus is a place where “…entrepreneurs will receive a pragmatic and multi-disciplinary education at the intersection of design, technology, and entrepreneurship.”

And beginning in February, General Assembly will be presenting seminars, lectures, and workshops.  Here is a look at some of the upcoming programs being offered:

General Assembly has partnered with companies and institutions such as NYC Economic Development Corporation, IDEO, Rackspace, Silicon Valley Bank, Skype, Wilson Sonsini, and NYHacker to further our educational initiatives and offerings in New York City. Startups including Art.sy, Yipit, Fashism, Food52, SeatGeek, NewsCred, JIBE, Nodejitsu, Profitably, and others have already moved in.
