TechStars Expanding to 15 Regions

[ 0 ] February 1, 2011 |

TechStars has announced they will expand from their Boulder, CO taking their startup accelerator model to 15 independently owned and operated regional organizations.  TechStars is part of the Startup America Partnership, over the next three years the TechStars Network will look to tap 5,000 successful entrepreneurs and investors to mentor and support 6,000 young entrepreneurs.  The result?  25,000 new jobs by 2015.

Both public and private organizations will focus on bringing people into the business accelerators – veterans, women entrepreneurs, students and more.   The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, recent guests at the White House, will scale its highly successful educational programs targeting at-risk high school students both physically (new communities and projects) and virtually (better online resources).
