[ 0 ] August 5, 2011 |

Gamification Summit NYC brings together the most interesting doers – on the cutting edge of Gamification and Engagement Science – with content divided into a best practices day and a design+workshop day. This is a unique opportunity to hear *first* what’s working and what’s not, get access to data and network with the experts.

The Summit also offers a  NEW WORKSHOP designed to get you hands on with gamification, preceded by three design talks from leading authors and thinkers. There has never been this much gamification design and insight in one place at one time.

Day 1 kicks off with a major keynote from Gilt Groupe founder Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, in an intimate Q&A led by Divya Gugani (Send the Trend) on “The Future of Retail is Fun”. This is required viewing for anyone working in e-commerce, retail or the consumer web – and Alexandra’s promised us some startling insights from Gilt’s runaway success. Also keynoting on day 1 is Susan Bonds, the brilliant transmedia designer whose games have moved millions.

Our featured talks include:

✔ Aaron Forth, VP of Mint.com on using Gamification in Consumer Finance & the Web
✔ Alix Levine, Cronus Global on Gamification and Extremism
✔ Sarah Faulkner, Microsoft on Training with Gamification
✔ Kevin Richardson, MTV (Speed Camera Lottery) on Behavior Change & Incentives

..and lots more, visit http://GSummit.com for the complete agenda

Our Day 1 Panels on Rewards, Community, Enterprise and Health are designed for marketers, strategists and product designers across a wide range of industries to learn what works and what doesn’t in gamification.  We’ve added exciting speakers from Waste Management, Kiip, United HealthCare, CrowdTap, Playboy, Lithium and many more.

WORKSHOPS

On day 2, you can get hands-on with Gamification – whether you’re a product designer, UI/UX designer or an entrepreneur. Start the day with 4 extraordinary design lectures followed by a panel and optional hands-on workshop. It’s unprecedented, direct design access that turns theory into practice. There has never been this much gamification design talent shared in one venue, and I’m sure you’ll learn a ton.

Get design insights from:

✔ Me (Gabe Zichermann) revealing my new book, Gamification by Design, and some key lessons learned in working with big brands
✔ Jon Radoff, game design legend and author of Game On, about understanding player motivation beyond Bartle
✔ James Gardner, Spigit Executive and author of Sidestep and Twist on innovation through Gamification, and
✔ Michael Wu, Lithium Co-Founder, on The Magic Potion of Gamification

These sessions are open to all attendees, and will be followed by a Q&A with all the designers. After, workshop pass holders will be invited to attend my space-limited workshop where you’ll get hands on with gamifying your product or service in a way you’ve never been able to before.
