MeTycoon – Social Game Teaches about Resources and Future Careers

[ 0 ] January 16, 2012 |

MeTycoon is a casual, simulation game that offers young people a way to find out more about resources and opportunities about future careers.  Targeted at children ages 11-14, the game encourages kids to explore and develop their life where their decisions directly impact their prosperity and ultimate happiness.

This may sound strange, but the game does a great job at showing kids that there isn’t always a linear progression in life and how we earn and achieve.

Created by PlayGen, the game puts kids in charge of making decisions from continuing their education, choosing a vocation or getting a job post high school.  The player needs to manage their career, work-life balance, friends, purchases/expenses.

How does one win you ask?  Well, that all depends on what you want out of life.  Rankings are provided for happiness, wealth, jobs, life achievements and even items purchased.

All in all, the game is an interesting look for tweens and teens at what may lie ahead and give thought to
